Tour 8: PHAT DIEM STONE CHURCH – THUNG NHAM BIRD PARK

In the morning:

• 09:00 a.m: Drive to Phat Diem, this is one of the most beautiful and unique cathedrals in Vietnam, and it became the center of Catholicism in north Vietnam.The whole complex was built by stone between 1875-1899 and has been classified as an historic and cultural relic. The cathedral is the main focus of worship for Ninh Binh Province’s 140,000 Roman Catholics. The Tourists go for a walk around the cathedral to see the most harmonious combination of architecture among the East and the West – Roman, Gothic, Pagoda.

In the afternoon:

• 01:30 p.m: Departure to Thung Nham Bird Park – Far about 12km from Ninh Binh city to the west, Thung Nham ecotourism zone is located in Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province. It is one of the tourist attractions in Ninh Binh fully converging factors of culture, spirituality, landscapes and biodiversity. On the small boats, tourists will have a chance to crept through the flooded forest, immerse in the nature and waters, and explore the wild beauty of the caves such as Vai Gioi (Pray to Heaven) Cave, Chua (Pagoda) Cave, But (Buddha) Cave, Thuy Cung (Aquarium) Cave, Ba Co (three good-hearted girls) Cave, and soak up the romantic scenery in valley of love. Then, the boat will take tourists to the birds’ garden.
